Here are a few other humor sites for your consideration.

Why were these chosen? Good question. Somebody laughed at some point when viewing the contents. Refinement, PG-ness, and good taste vary from site to site, and even within individual sites. As always, you’re the arbiter of “funny.”

BTW, there is no financial connection between this blog and any of the sites. Also, no endorsement is implied hereby under habeus corpus, ipso facto, or nunc est bibendum.

Finland Hosts Heavy Metal Knitting World Championship

What are the greatest combinations in history?
Fred and Ginger? Peaches and cream? Knitting and heavy metal?
Well, Finland’s got it and you have to see it to believe. (Be sure to check out the winners.)

Rhymes with Orange

Cartoonists Hilary Price and Rina Piccolo collaborate on the syndicated single-panel comic. Offbeat but recognizable situations (often involving the very believable inner lives of animals). Try a few and see if they resonate with own whimsical reality.

From the site:

Like the color its named after, Rhymes With Orange by cartoonist Hilary Price is a vibrant, energetic, smart strip that approaches the universal truths about everyday subjects, like relationships, work, pets, parents and holidays, with insightful wit and humor. It leaves no stone unturned in its journey to prove just how weird and wonderful we all are.

The Fridge Again!!

Music video with KD French singing lead accompanied by an all-star group composed of…herself in eight separate voices. Gospel treatment of a (we’ve all done it) human frailty with right-on harmony, phrasing, and acting. Then check out her spiritual offerings, if you feel so moved.

The Far Side

Gary Larson’s official site for all those who still quote Far Side cartoons: “There’s this deer with a birthmark like a target on his stomach and his friend says…” Samples from classic collections, and new stuff!

From the site: TheFarSide.com offers a deep dive into Gary’s offbeat sense of humor with The Daily Dose, an ever-changing, random selection of cartoons. Comic Collections offer a different themed collection of his classic cartoons updated weekly. You’ll also find exclusive, never-before-seen extras such as sketches straight from Gary’s personal Sketchbooks. And finally, beginning in 2020, and commemorating the fortieth anniversary of The Far Side, we will periodically unveil new work by the man himself! In truth, we really have no idea what might show up. But, on the other hand, what’s changed?

Sad and Useless Humor

Collections of photos with some commentary. Funny/striking/disturbing. You decide.

From the site: “The most depressive humor site on the internet. SadAndUseless.com was created in 2009 as a sad attempt at humor. And to this day it still is the same old useless site it was meant to be.”

The Onion

Is it news? Serious punditry? or something else? It’s satire with enough straight-faced journalistic verisimilitude to set the hook.

From the site: “The Onion is the world’s leading news publication, offering highly acclaimed, universally revered coverage of breaking national, international, and local news events. Rising from its humble beginnings as a print newspaper in 1756, The Onion now enjoys a daily readership of 4.3 trillion and has grown into the single most powerful and influential organization in human history.

In addition to maintaining a towering standard of excellence to which the rest of the industry aspires, The Onion supports more than 350,000 full- and part-time journalism jobs in its numerous news bureaus and manual labor camps stationed around the world, and members of its editorial board have served with distinction in an advisory capacity for such nations as China, Syria, Somalia, and the former Soviet Union. On top of its journalistic pursuits, The Onion also owns and operates the majority of the world’s transoceanic shipping lanes, stands on the nation’s leading edge on matters of deforestation and strip mining, and proudly conducts tests on millions of animals daily.

The Onion is now available exclusively online without charge in order to take advantage of various charity tax benefits.”

Funny or Die

Videos, celebrities, a jumble of skits, many topical, some just gonzo. Rummage around.

The Bloggess

Site written by one person. See if you two would like to hang out.

From the site: “I’ve been blogging about my strange little life for over a decade.  It’s mainly dark humor mixed with brutally honest periods of mental illness.  I’m not sure how it happened but somehow this became a very popular, award-winning blog.  In 2012 my first book (Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir) debuted at #1 on the NYT best-seller list and my second book (Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things) spent 5 months on the NYT top 20 best seller list.  I assure you, no one was more surprised about this than I was.  I assume I’m in a coma and all of you are fever-dreams.  Magnificent fever-dreams.”
